Ukrainian scientist Anastasia Tsybulyak spoke at the Building Bridges 2024 conference in Geneva
The event, held in Geneva, brought together thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and scholars from around the world to discuss how capital can become a tool for achieving social and environmental change.
During her speech at the panel discussion, Anastasia shared her experience of developing a family business in Ukraine, a country that, despite the difficult conditions of a full-scale war, demonstrates resilience and an innovative approach to entrepreneurship.
“Ukraine has a unique path, formed in conditions that are significantly different from European ones. This experience demonstrates an alternative approach to doing business that can inspire other countries and become a source of innovation,” the scientist emphasized. In addition, according to Anastasia, in recent years, a unique culture of unity and mutual assistance has been formed in Ukraine, which has also spread to the business environment.
“We not only support each other, but also invest in projects that change the lives of communities. This is what helps us build the future even in the most difficult times,” Anastasia noted.
The Building Bridges 2024 conference included more than 70 events, including panel discussions, workshops and presentations aimed at accelerating the transition to a global economic model that is consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals. Key topics of discussion included integrating impact into investment portfolios, valuing nature in finance, social value in the financial sector and financing the transition to a sustainable future.
Ukraine’s participation in such global events highlights its contribution to the global context and its commitment to positive change, demonstrating that even in the most difficult conditions, Ukrainians are able to influence the future of the global economy.
