A series of children’s books that educates eco-conscious Ukrainians

Industrial activity, deforestation, river pollution, and climate change are all changing the appearance of our planet and the quality of our lives. Unfortunately, in Ukraine, the situation is made worse by war, which deprives nature of the space to recover. Animals and plants are disappearing, and environmental problems are becoming more acute. However, it is important not only to record these challenges, but also to teach future generations to protect the world around them.

That is why we at Glossary Eco Foundation are creating a series of fairy tales that, through fascinating stories, will help children understand why it is important to care for the environment. We strive not only to impress young hearts, but also to instill in Ukrainian children an understanding of the importance of preserving nature, ecological consumption, and awareness of their own impact on the world.

“Wuhan-Klapan and the Red Tag” is the first fairy tale in the series.

This is almost a detective story about a hare and his best friend, Stefan, who is in danger of disappearing. After all, like the others in the forest, he received a mysterious red tag. The fairy tale tells about rare Ukrainian animals and explains how human influence affects ecosystems.

The book’s expected release date is the second quarter of 2025. Part of the book’s circulation will be directed to charitable purposes. We plan to donate these copies to schools, libraries, and DBSTs so that environmental knowledge becomes accessible to as many children as possible throughout Ukraine.

Our mission is to change the landscape of children’s literature by creating high-quality, informative, and at the same time interesting books about ecology. Thanks to the power of storytelling, we want to instill a love for nature, teach environmental habits, and help children from an early age become conscious citizens who can protect our planet.
