Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the Sunlight Schools Program important?

The full-scale war has caused unprecedented disruptions in electricity supply across Ukrainian schools. Power outages, air raid alerts, and the lack of stable connectivity and heating interrupt the learning process. Sunlight Schools offers a systemic solution: we install solar power plants and energy storage systems that ensure continuous learning even during blackouts.

Which Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) do we work toward?

We are working to achieve at least five of the UN Sustainable Development Goals:
• SDG 4 Quality Education
• SDG 7 Affordable and Clean Energy
• SDG 11 Resilient Cities and Communities
• SDG 13 Climate Action
• SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals

How do we select schools?

The selection process takes place in several stages: a technical audit of the roof and networks, an energy consumption assessment, consultations with local authorities and the community, and a security risk assessment. Only those schools that fully meet the criteria are selected for implementation.

How can individuals contribute?

You can make a one-time or regular contribution online, provide equipment or materials, become a volunteer or information ambassador for the project.

How can businesses get involved?

We offer flexible cooperation models: full financing of a turnkey school, co-financing, provision of technical solutions, participation in communication campaigns, and integration of corporate ESG goals into project support.

Can I contribute in-kind?

Yes. We accept equipment, construction materials, logistical support, professional services (design, installation, auditing), as well as media and PR resources. Write to us at info@glossaryecofoundation.org with the subject line "I want to help."

Can I donate anonymously?

Yes. Select the "anonymous" option on the donation form and your name will not be included in the reports.

How do you ensure effective allocation of funds?

Each project has clear KPIs: installed capacity, projected energy generation, CO₂ emission reduction, number of students reached. Each donor receives photo, video and financial reports.

How can I get involved from outside Ukraine?

Yes. We engage international volunteers in online projects: communications, translations, fundraising, and technical consulting.

How is the Foundation’s impact documented and communicated?

We provide transparent financial and technical reporting: photo documentation, video reports, certificates of work performed, financial tables and energy audits. The reports are available upon request of the donor and are partially published on the website.
